Organizers with Sequim Wolf Pack, a local youth football and cheer program, recently recognized a long-time participant and volunteer for her years of participation and service with a new Letterman’s jacket.

Sequim High School junior Riley Campbell was presented on Nov. 9 with the jacket at the Wolf Pack’s awards banquet.

Described as “selfless,” and an inspiration to the younger girls, Campbell, a varsity cheerleader, started with the Wolf Pack in kindergarten. She has volunteered more than 172 hours per year in recent years to the Wolf Pack assisting at camps and practices, and registration and inventory events.

This year, she also operated the booster’s booth, and raised more than $400 for the cheer program.

Online, she wrote how lucky and gracious she felt.

“From the days when I was just a little cheerleader with the Wolf Pack to now, my junior year, this journey has been nothing short of extraordinary,” Campbell said.

“This jacket isn’t just a piece of clothing; it’s filled with years of community service, fundraising, and memories with a program that has shaped who I am today.

“It represents the countless hours of giving back, the friendships I’ve made, and the passion I’ve always had for this incredible community. It’s a symbol of the hard work and dedication I’ve put into supporting the program and the unwavering belief I have in what it stands for.”

She thanked coaches and teammates and Wolf Pack supporters.

“This jacket is a reminder that hard work and service to the community make a difference,” Campbell said.

“It’s a symbol of how childhood dreams can grow into something meaningful and how, through giving back, we can create lasting change.”

Wolf Pack organizers said they brought back sponsoring a Letterman jacket this year, and they hope to continue doing it for many years.
