City calls for Sunshine Fest craft vendors
The city of Sequim is accepting applications from craft vendors to participate in the Sunshine Market at the 2025 Sequim Sunshine Festival.
The market will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. March 8 inside the Guy Cole Event Center at Carrie Blake Community Park, 202 N. Blake Ave.
Booth space will be available for $75 per space. Applications are due by Dec. 20 and must be submitted at https://form.jotform.com/243084409645056.
All applications will be juried by the Sequim Sunshine Festival Committee. Notification of acceptance will be sent by mid-January. If the application is accepted, payment for booth space is required by Feb. 14.

WSU hosts online farm business planning course
WSU Extension will offer Cultivating Success: Agricultural Entrepreneurship and Business Planning to help new and current farmers gain skills in business planning, risk management, and direct marketing.
The eight-week course is offered online using the Zoom from 6-8 p.m. Jan. 21 through March 11, 2025. Students access course syllabus, calendar, and learning modules through password protected website. The course is also offered with Spanish interpretation.
The curriculum features a full line-up of speakers including business professionals, marketing specialists, and successful farm owners with a special emphasis on financial, risk, and legal issues unique to farm-based businesses. During the course, participants are guided in developing a business plan they can use to help finance and grow a new enterprise or expand an existing farm-based business.
Cost for the eight-week course is $200 per farm/family. Scholarships are available for anyone for whom the course fee is a barrier.
