To give these young pupils a proverbial full head of steam toward science, this Sequim group gave them a full head of STEAM.
The Sequim Education Foundation brought out experts, experiments and education for its STEAM Power Saturday on June 4, offering a day of exploration for students in grades K-5 and their families.
The goal, program organizers said, was to see youths imagine, plan, create and improve upon their designs for solving challenges in the fields of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics.
The event was funded by a community member donation to the Sequim Education Foundation, Soroptimist International of Sequim and Sequim Sunrise Rotary.
