Brandyn Boyd, artistic director of dance at Aspire Academy of Expressive Arts in Sequim, will attend American Ballet Theatre’s Teacher Training Intensive this summer in New York City. Upon completion she will be ABT certified and will integrate ABT’s National Training Curriculum into Aspire’s programs. Boyd’s development as a dancer is based in ABT’s classical training. She will study with curriculum creators Franco DeVita and Raymond Lukens, who have incorporated French, Russian and Italian techniques to create a comprehensive curriculum of best practices for teachers to train students to use their bodies correctly.
