Free business tax workshop set
The Washington State Department of Revenue hosts a free workshop for new and small business owners from 9 a.m.-noon on Tuesday, July 19, at the Clallam Transit System Conference Room, 830 West Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles.
Participants will learn about Washington excise taxes, reporting classifications, deductions, tax incentives, sales tax collection and record-keeping requirements. An informal setting allows participants to ask questions specific to their businesses and all receive a workbook and reference guide to department rules and regulations.

Local Sears named ‘Premier Dealer’
The Port Angeles Sears Hometown Store, 520 S. Lincoln St., has been named a 2011 Sears Hometown Store Premier Dealer, an annual award given for customer service, store performance and community involvement.
