Premium pet food launch at Best Friend

Best Friend Nutrition hosts customers and their dogs from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, at 680 W. Washington St., Sequim, to launch its Natures Logic line of pet food for dogs and cats. Samples, coupons and a drawing for free products are planned.

Roofing open house

Hartnagel Building Supply hosts a roofing open house 11 a.m-2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, at 3111 Highway 101 East, Port Angeles.

Five local roofing contractors will be on hand to meet with the public to answer questions about residential and commercial roofing projects, present samples of different types of composite and metal roofing, and discuss energy rebates for reroofing projects.

Humphreys in NTA leadership role

Damian Humphreys of Wirta Hospitality Worldwide in Sequim has been appointed by National Tour Association board chairman Cathy Greteman to serve on the NTA’s 2011 Convention Task Force. The international association for travel professionals meets in Las Vegas, Nev., this year.

Pork, beef available at The Red Rooster

Locally raised and pastured, hormone- and antibiotic-free pork is available by the individual cut at The Red Rooster Grocery, Sequim. Cuts include bacon, ground pork, rib and loin chops and spareribs. Roasts and ham hocks are available upon request.

The store also carries grass-fed, hormone- and antibiotic-free beef from Clark Farms. Cuts include ground beef, fajita and stew meat, flat iron and flank steaks, skirt steaks, T-bone steaks and rib steaks.

Excel class offered

“Excel Spreadsheets: Survey and Advanced Topics” is the subject of a computer class from 9:30 a.m.-noon Saturday, Feb. 19, at The Center, 144 Tripp Road, Sequim.

The class is the first in a scheduled series by Tom Pitre, educator and trainer.

Free workshop on saving for the future
