Mortgage office opens

Cherry Creek Mortgage Company has opened a local office at 711 E. Front St., Suite B, Port Angeles.

The office team includes Roger Rheinheimer, branch manager; Vonnie McKnight, senior mortgage consultant; Stacy McKnight, mortgage loan processor; and Kelly Raymond, loan officer. Cherry Creek is a 25-year-old privately held mortgage lender headquartered in Denver, Colo; loan decisions are made in-house.

Home Depot offers free workshops

The Sequim branch of The Home Depot, 1145 W. Washington St., hosts a series of free workshops in October: Workshops include Safety and Security (10 a.m. Saturdays); Weatherize Your Home (1 p.m. Saturdays); Installing Crown Moulding (1 p.m. Sundays); Do-It-Herself Installing Tiling (6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18) and a Youth Workshop (Fire Truck) from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, Oct. 6.

New concessioner at Kalaloch Lodge

DNC Parks & Resorts at Kalaloch, Inc. has begun operating Kalaloch Lodge in Olympic National Park as the park’s newest concessioner.

Last May, DNC Parks & Resorts at Kalaloch, Inc. was awarded a new 10-year concession contract to operate overnight accommodations, food and beverage, retail, fuel and firewood sales located within the Kalaloch area of Olympic National Park.

DNC Parks & Resorts at Kalaloch, Inc. is a subsidiary of the New York-based Delaware North Companies Parks & Resorts, Inc. and has more than 70 years of hospitality experience in a variety of venues including operating concessions within National Park Service sites, including the Grand Canyon, Sequoia, Yellowstone and Yosemite.
