Legacy schedules classes

Alder Wood holds benefit for Mujeres de Maiz

‘Feet First’ course offered for massage practitioners
Licensed massage practitioners can earn continuing education units at the course “Shifting the Structure: Feet First,” presented from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, at the Days Inn, 1510 E. Front St., Port Angeles. Marilyn Beech, Certified Rolfer®, BCSI, LMP, teaches the in-depth look at the anatomy involved in plantar fasciitis, with manipulation and assessment tools for pain relief and to help clients change their gaits.

New sales site for See’s candies
As of Tuesday, Nov. 1, See’s candy will be available at the Artisans Creative Consignment store, 609 W. Washington St., Suite 11, Sequim (next to Sunny Farms Nutrition Center). Artisans Creative Consignment, owned and operated by Michelle Scott, is open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday.
Sales of the candy benefit Soroptimist International of Sequim.
Formerly candy sales for the club were at Pacific Mist Books, owned by Marti McAllister-Wolf.
Sequim paint store to close
Peninsula Paint Company owners Ray and Diane Donahue have announced that the Sequim location will close Nov. 5. There will be delivery service to Sequim and Port Angeles though the Port Townsend store at 315 Decatur St. Purchase history and color match records will be available at the Port Townsend store. Architect opens new art gallery
Karla Forsbeck will open a new gallery at 520 N. Sequim Ave., at the location of her architecture company, Dungeness Design. The Gallery at Dungeness Design holds an opening reception from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, for Sequim’s First Friday Art Walk, with an opening reception for the exhibit “Natura Revisited” by Sequim artists Jacqueline Pouyat and Gregg Graff. Burkhardt attends professional conferences
McComb Gardens co-owner Neil Burkhardt attended the Wholesale Nursery Growers Association “Kick the Dirt” educational program and nursery tour in Portland, Ore., in August.
Burkhardt also attended the 11th annual Garden Center Group Fall Event, Sept. 26-29, at Copper Mountain, Colo.

Costume photo-op at Olympic Cellars
Adults are invited to trick or treat at Olympic Cellars Winery in costume from 3-6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, for a complimentary wine tasting, treats and an opportunity to have a photo taken by professional photographer Phil Tauran in the decorated winery cellar. Pets in costume are welcome.
For a $10 fee, guests receive a 5-inch by 7-inch photo, available for pickup at the winery on Monday, Oct. 31, between
