Koenig celebrates Make a Dog’s Day

On Oct. 22, Koenig Subaru celebrated the third-annual national Make a Dog’s Day, when Subaru encourages all dog lovers to do something extra special for their dogs. This October, Koenig Subaru looked to help shelter dogs — particularly those with special needs like the older, deaf, blind, and “different” dogs that we lovingly call the “Underdogs” — get adopted by donating $100 to the Olympic Peninsula Humane Society for every shelter pet adopted in October.

Cole’s sets out-of-business sale

Cole’s Jewelers, 117 E. Washington St., is going out of business after 55 years in the community, and has set a sale for Nov. 11-14. All inventory, fixtures, furniture and showcases are being sold. The sale starts at noon on Thursday, Nov. 11.
