Antique shop open

Anne’s Sequim Antiques, 253 W. Washington St., will be open from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays in November and December.

Bakery partners to save bees

Pane d’Amore Artisan Bakery will be partnering with GloryBee Foods in a promotional effort to “Save the Bee.” Through Oct. 24 Pane d’Amore will be selling GloryBee Food’s honey and hats to raise money for GloryBee Food’s “Save the Bee” project. Customers may purchase GloryBee Food honey at the base rate of $5 with everything paid over that amount going to the Save the Bee project. Hats are sold for $25 with a $10 of each sale going to the Save the Bee project.

Free financial planning seminar set

Port Angeles attorney Steve Moriarty discusses estate planning strategies for needs of family members, charitable giving goals and minimizing taxes at a free financial seminar set for 4-5:30 p.m. and 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, at the Dungeness River Audubon Center, 2151 W. Hendrickson Road, Sequim. The seminar aims to help attendees better understand wills, trusts, community property agreements, durable powers of attorney and health care directives.

Winter hours in effect

Olympic Restaurant Equipment, 51 Dryke Road, Sequim, will be changing the hours of operation for the winter. New hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday. Saturday appointments are available by contacting 582-1050 or www.OlympicEquip.com.


Ashby transfers to P.A.

After eight years of managing the Gellor Insurance, Inc. office in Sequim, Shelly Ashby is moving to Gellor’s Port Angeles office to head up its commercial lines department. Ashby’s Sequim customers may still reach her at 452-2388 or shellya@gellorinsurance.com.

Celebrating 30 Years

Lonnie Linn is celebrating 30 years with Angeles Millwork & Lumber Co. An open house reception will be held for him on Friday, Oct. 24, beginning at 10 a.m. The community is invited to attend at Angeles Millwork, 1601 S. C St. in Port Angeles.

P.A. market hosts fundraising dance

The Port Angeles Farmers Market hosts its annual fundraising Harvest Hoedown at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at Black Diamond Community Hal, 1942 Black Diamond Road, Port Angeles. Music is by Hot Damn Scandal and tickets in advance are $10, available at the market, Port Book and News, Good to Go Grocery and Renaissance. Tickets at the door are $15. Children 12 and under get in free.

Chamber hosts networking event

The eighth annual Business Showcase, hosted by the Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce, will be from 5-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, at Sunland Golf & Country Club, 109 Hilltop Drive, Sequim.
