Alder Wood Bistro sets new hours; Aspire offers classes, camps; Via Vita bake sale to benefit B&G clubs, more

New bistro hours set

Alder Wood Bistro, 139 W. Alder St., Sequim, announces its new hours will be 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m. for lunch and 4:30-8:30 p.m. for dinner Thursday-Saturday. The restaurant is closed Sunday-Wednesday. Call 683-4321.


Aspire offers classes, camps

Aspire Academy is now enrolling students in Show Choir and private voice lessons. The Show Choir is offering two sessions, 5-8 year olds and ages 9 and older meeting on Tuesday afternoons. Classes begin May 5. Voice lessons are individually scheduled. Registration for music summer camps also are open, including a new voice camp called Show Choir Swing Camp beginning this July. Students will toe tap and boogie woogie while learning to sing swing-style music. Class and camp schedules are available at www.aspireacademy.us or by calling 681-3979.


Bake sale to benefit B&G clubs

Via Vita will be celebrating the Irrigation Festival Street Fair out on its lawn at 128 W. Bell St. with a bake sale beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 2. All proceeds from the bake sale will be donated to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Olympic Peninsula. Stop by for some baked goods (gluten-free and vegan options will be available) and tea, handmade lavender eye masks or just come by to blow bubbles or hula hoop on the lawn. Donations are accepted.


Business network group starts in P.T.

Business Network International, a networking organization specializing in business referrals among members, is forming a new chapter in Port Townsend. The group meets Thursdays at 7:15 a.m. at The Cup, 600 W. Sims Way, Port Townsend. Network with like-minded business professionals looking to build their business by referral and build your own referral relationships. Jewelry, chocolates event to benefit OPHS

Jewelry and chocolates are on the menu at Nourish, 1345 S. Sequim Ave. in Sequim, when it hosts a free pop-up shop fundraising event from noon-5 p.m. Saturday, May 2, for the Olympic Peninsula Humane Society. Designer Holly Zhang will bring her beautiful jewelry creations from her shop at The Bravern Center in Bellevue. Exclusive artisan chocolates by DeNovo Chocolates will be available for nibbling and purchase. Nourish will have wines and teas available to enhance the event.


New PT joins team

Sequim Physical Therapy Center announces the addition of Cathy Giumini, MSPT, to its physical therapy team. She has extensive experience as a physical therapist in New York and California. Store goes to summer hours

Olympic Restaurant Equipment, 51 Dryke Road, Sequim, will be going to its summer hours on May 2, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays.

 

Bistro introduces new ID age checker

Wind Rose Cellars, 143 W. Washington St., Sequim, will be the first venue on the Olympic Peninsula to use Intellicheck Mobilisa’s “Intellicheck Age ID” product on May 1. The age ID app for iOS or Android reads the barcode data encoded on driver licenses.
