Former Gazette publisher acquires North Central Washington newspapers
Ward Media, LLC has acquired four weekly publications and a monthly business journal in North Central Washington from NCW Media, Inc.
Newspapers involved in the transaction include the Leavenworth Echo, Cashmere Valley Record, Lake Chelan Mirror, Quad City Herald and the Wenatchee Business Journal.
Owners of Ward Media, LLC are Amy Yaley and Terry Ward, former Sound Publishing vice president and regional publisher.
Ward recently announced he was leaving Sound Publishing to start his own newspaper group and passed on the torch to Eran Kennedy as publisher of the Sequim Gazette, Peninsula Daily News and Forks Forum.
Ward has held leadership positions in various media companies, and Yaley has a background in sales, marketing, public relations, events and promotions.
