Grand opening scheduled for Sequim Ace Hardware

A ribbon-cutting event is set for the grand opening of Sequim Ace Hardware at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 31, at 232 Valley Center Place.

The event includes weekend-long giveaways, specials and product demonstrations.

Businesses invited to apply for Clallam County grants

Clallam County’s Lodging Tax Advisory Committee announces an opportunity for business grants for large-scale events, project, or infrastructure improvements from monies received from a consumer tax on lodging.

Applications may be submitted by any non-profit entity, any public entity, or any group of eligible organizations. To get an application, contact the Clallam County Board of Commissioners’ Office at loni.gores@clallamcountywa.gov or online at clallamcountywa.gov/757/Lodging-Tax-Advisory-Committee-LTAC.

Applications/requests must be received at 223 E. Fourth St., Room 150, Port Angeles, by noon on Monday, Oct. 16. Late applications will not be accepted.

Clallam County’s Lodging Tax Fund is the primary source of county funding for activities, operations and expenditures designed to increase tourism in the unincorporated areas.
