Fifth Avenue to host free ‘Wonders of Lavender’ event

The Fifth Avenue retirement living community invites the public to “The Wonders of Lavender,” an open house set for 1-3 p.m. on Thursday, July 27, at 500 West Hendrickson Road. The event includes activities and “experiences” all centered around the essence of lavender provided by local farms. Door prize drawings take place every 15 minutes, featuring a range of lavender-inspired items. Attendees have a chance to win the grand raffle prize: $300 in gift certificates from local restaurants.

Live music is provided by pianist Isabelle Rose, and activities include a sip-and-paint session at 1:30 p.m.

“This open house serves as an opportunity for individuals to discover the warm and inviting lifestyle we offer, as well as engage with the local community and experience the wonders of lavender in various forms,” The Fifth Avenue administrator Donna Ingram said.
