Seminar on weight loss set

Copeland promoted at First Federal

First Federal announces that Jody Copeland has accepted the position of assistant vice president, branch manager of its Sixth Street branch in Port Angeles. In her role,

Copeland will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations at the Sixth Street branch, including the management of all functions, business development, banking activity and products and services provided through that location. She joined First Federal in 2014 with a background in sales and business development on the Olympic Peninsula. She moved to the Sixth Street branch in January 2015 as a personal banker and most recently held the position of customer sales and service manager.

 

Chamber hosts after hours

On the third Tuesday of each month, the Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce organizes an After Hours networking event at a different host location. The host business will familiarize participants with their business, facility, services, etc. Refreshments are served.


Hueth joins WNPF board of directors

Embracing the spirit, intent and purpose of the founding of the National Park Service 100 years ago, Larry Hueth, president and chief executive officer of First Federal in Port Angeles, has joined Washington’s National Park Fund’s board of directors. Washington’s National Park Fund is the official fundraising partner for Mount Rainier, North Cascades and Olympic National parks.

Hueth also serves on the boards of the Clallam County Economic Development Corporation, Olympic Medical Center Foundation and Washington Bankers Association PROS.


Local inventor earns patent

Sequim’s own aMAESing Tool Manufacturing, Inc., has been assigned a U.S. patent (9,358,679) for a a mobile work station developed by Roger V. Maes. The patent application was filed on Aug. 4, 2015. Maes has been a professional pipe fitter for 60 years and an inventor since the 1970s.

Public access station premieres

Peninsula Area Public Access, Channel 21 on the Wave Cable line-up, is now available in 20,000 homes in Clallam County. PAPA TV launched its first programming schedule on June 10. A mix of local and regional programs run from 10 a.m.-midnight. More than one third of the initial programming is produced in Clallam County. PAPA is seeking volunteers to help with shooting video, editing, data entry and other chores. See www.papaonline.tv.
