Sequim’s That Takes The Cake reopens

At the start of May, award-winning bakery That Takes The Cake officially re-opened under new management.

“Nothing makes me happier than having this bakery back up and running,” says owner and operator Joshua Gordon, who runs the bakery with his wife Sarah Gaudette.

“We’ve got some creative ideas we are trying this month, and we’re very excited to serve up new flavors with fresh designs.”

To celebrate the opening, all cupcakes orders of six or more will receive a 10% discount for the rest of May.

In honor of the Sequim Irrigation Festival, owners crafted a marbled layer cake with an ocean blue exterior — complete with a tidal frosting.

That Takes The Cake is now open for business from noon-6 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.
