‘America’s Bravest’ at McCrorie

Carpet One is bringing to town a promotion called “Building For America’s Bravest,” one that helps build homes for some of the more catastrophically injured service members returning home. See ourbravest.org.

The organization, along with a New York Fire Department worker, is touring the area to raise the awareness of the organization and will be at the Sequim McCrorie Carpet One (279 W. Washington St.) at noon today, Wednesday, Oct. 7, and at the Port Angeles McCrorie Carpet One (547 North Oakridge Dr.) at 2 p.m.

TRX-ers graduate

The most recent graduating class at Anytime Fitness in Sequim completed the requirements for TRX Fundamentals last week.

The group, instructed by TRX level 2 Coach Kenny Hall and TRX Level 1 Coach Marcus Buren, took a month-long class to learn how to use the TRX Suspension trainer and incorporate it into their own personal fitness program, emphasizing core and stability of the spine in all movements for strength and overall fitness.

Some will choose to use their new knowledge and skills at home or at the gym, while others move on to take the TRX 201 Next Level Class beginning Tuesday, Oct. 13.

For more information, call 683-4110. Enrollment is open to the public.
