Angeles Millwork thanks customers with event

The public is invited to a free customer appreciation event at Angeles Millwork & Lumber Co. at 1601 S. C St. in Port Angeles from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 17, to mark the store’s 108th anniversary. Attendees can enjoy a barbecue lunch, visit with vendors, see product samples and demonstrations, enter to win door prizes and have questions answered.

Builders are invited to test their skills against other local contractors in a Contractor Challenge Contest. Winners will earn prizes, bragging rights and recognition.

Clarks present talk at Nash’s

Learn about local meat and how it is produced with Tom and Holly Clark of Clark Farms at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, at Nash’s Farm Store, 4681 Sequim-Dungeness Way in Dungeness. The Clarks raise grass-fed, grass-finished cattle and lamb, pastured pigs, pastured heritage turkeys and chickens grazing in large open spaces.

The talk is free and open to the public.

New operations leader

First Federal announces Jeffrey Davis will lead its operation team. Davis has accepted the position of senior vice president, bank operations officer.

He will be responsible for managing and directing the bank’s operational implementation and support activities including new systems or enhancements to existing systems that provide additional choices in banking to First Federal customers.

He has 28 years of banking experience.

New grocery hours set at Red Rooster

The Red Rooster Grocery, 134 1/2 W. Washington St., Sequim, has new hours in September, operating from 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturdays. The store will be closed Sundays until the weekend before Thanksgiving.

From Tuesday, Sept. 23 through Friday, Oct. 3, the store closes at 4 p.m.

Cummings completes Reiki course

Ulia Cummings from Sequim MFR completed the First Degree Reiki Course last month. Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. She will be incorporating this technique into her Myofascial Release (MFR) sessions. Call for an appointment at 360-216-6088.

Sequim MFR is open from 1-7:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. MFR clients can now receive Reiki treatment at the same time as they are receiving MFR treatment at no additional cost.
