CageworX MMA, a mixed martial arts facility at 103 Elwha Road, Port Angeles, holds its grand opening event from noon-10 p.m. Saturday, June 23.

In addition to a barbecue and a raffle for free memberships and discounts, the event includes three mini-seminars: a wrestling seminar with coaches Erik Gonzalez of Port Angeles High School and Rob Gale of Forks from noon-2 p.m.; a Brazilian jiujitsu seminar with coach and black-belt holder Cody Houston from 2-4 p.m.; and a boxing seminar with USA Boxing certified coaches Jesse Banks and Paul Kendrick from 4-6 p.m. Live viewing of Ultimate Fighting Championship 147, “Silva vs. Franklin II,” is from 7-10 p.m.

Open seven days a week, CageworX MMA offers a full training schedule with classes running Mondays-Saturdays covering mixed martial arts such as: Brazilian jiujitsu, wrestling, kickboxing, boxing and MMA, as well as a Youth/Teens program and women’s-only MMA classes.
