Olympic Medical Center Chelsie Botero and Melissa Sheldon, both pharmacy buyers, received recognition awards recently at a board of commissioners meeting.
“Chelsie has kept the hospital and OMP (Olympic Medical Physicians) clinics supplied with medications during an extended period of extremely challenging drug shortages,” Lorraine Wall, chief nursing officer and hospital chief operating officer, said.
“Melissa has quickly gained expertise and oversees the 340B contract pharmacy arrangements and program compliance,” Wall said.
The 340B Drug Discount Program is a US federal government program that requires drug manufacturers to provide outpatient drugs to eligible health care organizations, such as Olympic Medical Center, at reduced prices.
