First Federal announced last week the appointment of Jon Murock to assistant vice president, commercial relationship manager. Murock will be responsible for building quality commercial lending relationships with business owners in the Jefferson County area while providing lending support in other First Federal markets.

Murock served for four years in the United States Marine Corps and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in business finance and economics from Eastern Washington University. He has more than 22 years of banking experience as a branch manager and loan officer.

Murock lives in Port Townsend. He has been the treasurer for Real Estate Professionals for Affordable Housing for 16 years and also is a board member for the Main Street HUD Loan Committee.
