Uniting to feed hungry visitors, the Olympic Game Farm is hosting a concession stand operated by Hardy’s Market.
Robert Beebe, general manager of the farm, said the game farm partnered with Hardy’s last summer and it was a big hit with locals and tourists.
Randy Dupont, owner of Hardy’s, said the game farm is the best thing going in town.
“I think it’s an honor to be out here to do this,” Dupont said. “We had a really good year here last year.”
He is offering foods similar to those his other stores, including hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, soda, Italian sodas, fruit smoothies and various snacks. Fresh foods are prepared at Hardy’s Market on Old Olympic Highway and assembled to order at the farm.
“In one way, it gets us more in touch with the community,” Dupont said. “A lot of customers eat at the main store and eat ice cream at the farm.”
The deli and concession stand opens Saturday, May 12, the same hours as the farm, through October.
The Olympic Game Farm, 1423 Ward Road, is open 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Sundays-Fridays and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturdays through Friday, May 25. From May 26-Oct. 7, the farm is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday-Friday and 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturdays.
Hardy’s Market also operates at 10200 Old Olympic Highway and at 33 Taylor Cutoff Road.
