Blondie’s Plate’s first “Throwback Throwdown” burger-eating contest winner Mark Ostroot, aka The Sheriff, ate 12 burgers in 30 minutes.

In second place was Brian Haire with 11-and-a-third burgers.

The Throwback Burger was created by owner Rick McDougal and was a Monday night, $5 promotion from October-April.

The competition recently was held to close the promotion until next fall.
