The First Federal Community Foundation presented a check for $50,000 to Habitat for Humanity in Whatcom County to support construction of the 52-unit Telegraph Townhomes in Bellingham. Habitat for Humanity in Whatcom County recently announced the formation of the Habitat Kulshan Project, LLC, in partnership with the Kulshan Community Land Trust, for the purpose of building 52 affordable homes for low-income working adults and families.

Located on 2.5 acres in Bellingham, Telegraph Townhomes feature energy-efficient design, community gardens and play areas, and close proximity to public transportation, jobs and schools. Construction is anticipated to begin in this summer.

First Federal serves Western Washington through 12 banking centers; located within Clallam, Jefferson, King, Kitsap and Whatcom counties.
