Terry Peterson, a broker with Windermere Sunland, recently successfully completed the requirements for the National Association of Realtors designation as a Senior Real Estate Specialist, SRES. The course of study included such topics as understanding generational differences, aging in place, independent and assisted living options, financing options including reverse mortgages, and special tax and legal considerations. Peterson is now working toward organizing a public workshop featuring representatives from the legal, tax, and financial fields to share their expertise in these areas of concern to seniors and seniors-to-be.
