Eighty Sequim seniors enjoyed a Christmas feast for the senses sponsored by the Sequim Sunrise Rotary Club.
The event, held Saturday, Dec. 11, at the Boys & Girls Club, provided those in attendance with fabulous food and fabulous entertainment.
Among those performing were the Sequim City Band, the Olympic Peninsula Men’s Chorus, vocalist Amanda Bacon and the “crazy cast of Rotoonies” — a group of Rotary thespians.
Everyone in attendance received a Christmas present and had a picture taken with Santa Claus.
The annual event ensures a good time for “those seniors who don’t have a chance for a social outing,” said Kylie Thompson, who was volunteering that day as a greeter.
Virginia O’Neal, who with Mike Phillips organized the event, said the partnership of the Sequim City Band, the Men’s Chorus and the Rotary Club is remarkable.
“It was beautiful — a very happy event. It’s what community is all about.”
