The Olympic Peninsula Visitor Bureau, the tourism marketing agency for unincorporated Clallam County, is seeking to fill two positions on its nine-member board of directors.
Two positions, both vacant by resignations, are for an at-large representative and for a bed and breakfast representative. Both positions will fill the remainder of 3-year terms expiring December 2016 and December 2017, respectively. Applicants must reside or do business in the unincorporated areas of Clallam County, outside of the city limits of Forks, Sequim or Port Angeles.
The OPVB also provides administrative support for the Olympic Peninsula Tourism Commission, a 13-partner group comprised of the chambers of commerce and tourism marketing entities from the Mason County to Quinault via the northern U.S. Highway 101 route.
The OPVB board of directors meets monthly on the third Thursday in the Port Angeles area and a conference call-in option usually is available. The OPVB board advises staff on policies, programs and promotions.
For more information or an application, contact Marsha Massey, interim executive director, OPVB, at 452-8552 or info@olympicpeninsula.org. Applications should be received by Friday, Nov. 14, for consideration at the Nov. 20, board meeting.
