Featuring local vendors selling baked goods and hand-made items, the newly formed Troll Haven/Bandy Orchards Farmers Market is open on Saturdays throughout the summer, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at 950 Gardner Road.
Dates include July 11 and Aug. 1, 15 and 29, as well as a few in September, said Jen Bandy-Phillips, organizer, in a press release.
Goods and produce will be sold with ample space between vendors, a hand washing station, social distancing signs and extra masks if visitors lack them, she said.
The orchards have 26 varieties of apples and pears, plus cherries, Italian plums and figs. The market includes produce from Red Dog Farm and Graysmarsh Farm.
“The cherries are just about ready, and the rest will ripen later in the summer, where we’ll begin selling at the market, and also providing U-Pick for families,” organizers said.
Updates can be found on the Bandy Farms Facebook page as well as on the neighborhood NextDoor page.
“It’s a great place to come for families with tons of space to walk through the orchards, enjoy the farmers market, and even take a walk on the beach,” Bandy-Phillips said.
