LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Our city standing up!

Downtown Sequim on Saturday, March 5 was a sight, the quiet town of Sequim was saying HANDS OFF! There were so many people there it was amazing, this event organized by the local Indivisible group clearly showed their respect of the City of Sequim gathering laws, their respect for participants and made it easy for all of us to participate to be there and be safe.

If our elected representatives had any doubt if the people of Sequim cared about the insanity in the White House, I think the message was clear in Sequim and all over America (that) “something needs to be done.” I feel empowered, not alone and ready to keep sending this message: “There needs to be a change of direction of actions by a dictator in the White House.” Change is not bad, but it needs review, needs research of present and future ramifications of the change, a fiscal review and (I would hope) be able to answer the question — is it a good change for the betterment of America?

I want to say thank you to the local Indivisible group who carefully organized this event. I also want to say thank you to the participants. I know you made a difference for me and so many other people. The City of Sequim deserves thanks for their cooperation for this event as well their presence during the event. Now what? Keep sending the message HANDS OFF! to Congress. Do not give up.
