Towne Road project a ‘win/win’

Towne Road is now open, after being closed for way too long. However, it has turned out to be a win/win solution.

A win for the fish and the environment.

A win for the walkers as there is now a wide, safe path.

A win for the motorists who have another route to Sequim.

A win for the bicyclist.

A win for those living in Dungeness, as the intersection at Sequim Dungeness Road and Anderson Road is more visible and safer.

So, a big thank you to all those involved in the completion of Towne Road.

Kudos to KSQM

On Friday, Oct. 18, Sequim lost electrical power a little before 5 p.m., as I arrived at the KSQM studios. The on air person was signing off for the night and the station would go to automatic. However, the on-air person, Richard Hendricksen, stayed keeping listeners informed about what was going on.

As the outage continued several volunteers of this well-run emergency broadcaster came in to insure that their signal was in operation.

Another on air personality, Sassy Susan, came in and kept up the updates. The KSQM news director — after getting updates from PUD — called in and then came in as well to keep everyone informed.

Thankfully the generator at the studio kicked in and the crews went to check on the other generator at the tower.

I was proud to see so many volunteers show up and know what to do.

Next time the lights go out and you don’t know what is going on, be sure to tune into your local emergency broadcast station.

Bring back Trump

Are there no Trump supporters in Sequim?

Of late, every letter to the editor of this paper is in support of that worst of all presidential candidates ever, Harris. Her running mate is even worse.

President Trump has shown himself to be worthy. He has also endured all the metaphorical and literal slings and arrows. He has Democrat leaders calling for his “elimination” and Biden called for a “bullseye” to be put on him.

He has been through three or four assassination attempts (depending on who you talk to).

Under his presidency, our country was flourishing, and if four years of Biden/Harris didn’t do too much irreparable harm, we could flourish again. We are on the verge of World War III because the Dems and many Republicans are in bed with the likes of the Cheneys, who make their millions from the military industrial complex.

There was already peace brokered in Ukraine, but that was nixed so people could make more money through the war and the money laundering that is Ukraine.

Aren’t you tired of the chaos? Let’s vote for America. Let’s vote for President Trump.

Vote for Bernbaum

Clallam County voters: I imagine most of you have taken some time to consider the candidates on the ballot you will receive after Oct. 16. I would like to add my thoughts for a candidate for Washington State Representative. I am asking you to vote for Adam Bernbaum. Here are some fundamental facts why Adam is the best choice to represent us in Olympia.

Adam has legislative experience as a resource and support for legislators.

Adam has taken time to knock on hundreds of doors in his district and ask voters what their concerns are in their lives and in their community.

Adam will take the information voters shared and will be an advocate for the community and individuals focusing on voters specific concerns.

Adam will offer pragmatic leadership with fresh ideas and energy to solve problems for the whole district, not special interest groups. Adam will focus on housing, healthcare and economic development policies that will touch all of our lives.

Adam not only has legislative experience, his higher educational background has prepared him for this job as well. His volunteer history clearly indicates that he has the community in mind in everything he does, Adam deserves and has earned your vote.

Vote for Adam Bernbaum for State Representative.
