The Republican agenda does not have the votes in Congress to succeed yet they are allowed to filibuster. Are we only a nation of Fox News watchers? Obama can never do what he really wants — I imagine him a Teddy Roosevelt Republican at heart — and he must bend until he looks weak and can get no clear victories.

Remember he is fighting against a tide of polls that once fell in love with Michelle Bachmann, Rick Perry, Herman Cain, Newt Gingrich and they settled on Mitt Romney, a liberal elitist Republican from Massachusetts who only wants to hold office and not to lead.

Good luck in next year’s election, Clallam County and remember to not just get out and vote but think, read newspapers and magazines and then go out and vote.
