The next Olympic Peninsula Arts Association (formerly Sequim Arts) general meeting will be  at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Parrish Hall, 525 N. Fifth Ave., Sequim. Sherry Nagel will present her journey from quilt artist to abstract art quilter. Nagel broke away from traditional quilt patterns to create art quilts inspired by modern computer technology and more traditional painting disciplines. Her work is shown every year at the local Sunbonnet Sue Quilt Club Quilt show and at the North Olympic Fiber Arts Festival.
