Learn lace knitting
The Golden Crafts Shop offers a free lace knitting class on Wednesdays, beginning from 1-3 p.m. today, Sept. 19, at the shop, 112C S. Lincoln St., Port Angeles. The "Spiralen" doily pattern is provided at the first class or may be downloaded at http://yarnover.net. Students will need two size 2 circular needles (16"-24" in length) or a set of five size 2 double-pointed needles or a 32" or longer size 2 circular needle; and a ball of size 10 crochet cotton thread. Join Olympic Chorus for holidays
The Grand Olympics Chorus invites everyone to join in learning holiday and other music to sing in public performances during the holiday season. No auditions are required. The group meets at 6:30 p.m. each Monday at Sequim Community Church, 950 N. Fifth Ave. Call Nancy at 681-7546 with questions.
Centrum ‘reverberates’ with music, art, dance
Centrum artists in residence — composer Wayne Horvitz, producer Tucker Martine, choreographer Yukio Suzuki and video artist Yohei Saito — use the batteries of Fort Worden to present a free multi-media performance, "55: Music and Dance in Concrete," on Artillery Hill in Fort Worden State Park in Port Townsend on Sept. 22-23.

Play hand bells at Read & Ring
Bells Angels sponsors Sequim’s first Read & Ring event for hand bell ringers from novice to experienced from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 Blake Ave. Guest director George Roper will lead the group through techniques, sight-reading skills and level 2-4 compositions.

Driftwood Show set at River Festival
The Olympic Driftwood Sculptors’ fourth anniversary show during the Dungeness River Festival, Friday-Sunday, Sept. 28-30, includes demonstrations, displays, a raffle, and a children’s activity booth. The event is from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. each day at the Audubon Center in Railroad Bridge Park, 2151 W. Hendrickson Road, Sequim. Admission is free, cameras welcome.
Organist opens Music/Lunch series
Music Live with Lunch resumes at noon Tuesday, Oct. 16, with Organist Paul Roy, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 525 Fifth Ave. Each concert is followed by a hot homemade lunch (vegetarian available) at 12:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 at St. Luke’s office from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
