Elks Lodge, 7 Cedars collaborate

The Sequim Elks Lodge’s bingo game gets a boost on Thursday, Oct. 25.  Seven Cedars Casino will add dollars to jackpots, pass out coupons and have a shuttle available for anyone who wishes to go to the casino, with free parking at the Elks Lodge, 143 Port Williams Road. The game begins at 1 p.m.

Minimum buy-in for the game is $10 and players must be 18 or older. Proceeds go to scholarship programs, charities and lodge operating costs.

Poet, open-mic featured at ‘Fourth Friday’

Retrospective honors Fogliano

In celebration of artist Peggy Fogliano’s 95th birthday, the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center, 1203 E. Lauridsen Blvd., hosts a retrospective exhibition of her artwork in a variety of media: paintings, collage, clay and mixed media. A public reception is from 4:30-6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, and the exhibition runs through Nov. 11. Fine Arts Center’s annual benefit has ‘Artitude’

The Port Angeles Fine Arts Center hosts its annual benefit, "Our New Artitude," from 6-10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at the Port Angeles Masonic Lodge, 622 S. Lincoln St. The event includes cuisine by Oven Spoonful, Latin Jazz by Malo Combo and silent and live auctions.

PAFAC is a 501(c)(3)nonprofit; funds will support the free arts center and sculpture park, along with arts programs and classes.

Have breakfast, paint a tile

The Sequim Centennial Celebration begins Saturday, Oct. 27, with a pancake breakfast at the Sequim Prairie Grange, 290 Macleay Road, from 7:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Breakfast is $5 for adults and $3 for children. Throughout the Centennial Celebration year events, Sequim residents and visitors can participate in a public art project by painting a commemorative tile for display. Cost is $10 per tile.

P.T. opens chamber music season

The Port Townsend Chamber Music Festival opens its season with a program of Mozart, Schubert and Brahms at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, in the Wheeler Theater at Fort Worden. Music festival seeks local artwork     

In the summer of 2013 the Olympic Music Festival celebrates its 30th year presenting world-class chamber music. Music-loving artists can join in now by entering the festival’s contest for artwork to be used in posters, brochures and print ads. The winner receives a Flex Pass to the 30th season, as well as acknowledgment and widespread publication of the artwork.
