MacLaine featured at Hart's, P.T. Gallery hosts new exhibit, and author speaks.

Children’s author featured at Hart’s

Hart’s Fine Books, 161 W. Washington St., Sequim, is hosting Lindy MacLaine, author of “The Curse of Neverland,” from 5-8 p.m. Friday, May 1.

Come meet the imaginative writer who has updated Neverland and brought Peter Pan’s 11-year-old granddaughter to life.

P.T. gallery has new exhibit

Northwind Arts Center, 701 Water St., Port Townsend, presents an art exhibit from May 1-31 featuring painting and sculpture by artists Joseph Mann and Kim Simonelli, respectively.

Mann’s figure paintings show rich color and broad brushstrokes with a delicate treatment of light and balance with the landscapes, while Simonelli’s sculptural forms display Cubist architectures in unique poses accentuating curvature and intersecting geometries.

Author to speak at benefit dinner

Peninsula Behavioral Health will have its annual fundraising dinner Friday, May 1, at the Red Lion Hotel, 221 N. Lincoln St., Port Angeles.

A social hour begins at 5 p.m. with dinner at 6 p.m.

The program features author Daniel James Brown, who will discuss his book of local interest, “The Boys in the Boat.”
