Toastmasters to talk YouTube
Presenter Shantia Crowley offers “Increasing Your Visibility Through Youtube” at the next SKWIM Toastmasters meeting set for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, at the KSQM 91.5 FM broadcasting office, 609 W. Washington St., and on Zoom.
This event is free and open to the public, both on-line and in-person. Register for the meeting at skwimyoutube.eventbrite.com.
Crowley has created and grown two YouTube channels over a two-year period.
Event organizers say attendees will be motivated to create their own channel, know what tools they need, be supplied with marketing tips, be clued in to secrets to keep search engines working in their favor, and learn ways to enhance their YouTube presentation skills.
SKWIM Toastmasters is part of Toastmasters International, a worldwide nonprofit educational organization that “empowers individuals to become more effective communicators and leaders.” The Sequim club meets from 7-8:30 p.m. on Tuesdays at the KSQM offices.

Harbor Art Gallery to feature Mosley’s photos
Harbor Art Gallery, located at 114 North Laurel St. in the heart of downtown Port Angeles, is featuring the artwork of photographer Roger Mosley throughout the month of January.
Mosley’s love of nature has been informed by his career at the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, where he spent his time traversing northwest rivers and streams to count spawning fish. He has enjoyed nature photography for many years.
Mosley’s featured work will be a potpourri of landscape images emphasizing fog and frost, along with a large metal print of the Elwha River during peak fall foliage.
“I’m inspired to capture those scenes and moments that collectively give this landscape its beauty,” said Mosley.
Harbor Art Gallery is open 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. During the Second Saturday Art Walk on January 14, the gallery will be open until 7 p.m., and visitors can meet with Mosley and other artists present that are part of the artist cooperative.
The gallery showcases work by local artists Bob Stokes and Cindy Elstrom, Carolyn Guske, Robert Amaral, Kelly Coffey, Garret Delabarre, Terri Ench, Tammy Hall, David Johannessohn, Susan Kantowitz, Ruth Kaspin, Nancy McFaul, Gail McLain, Roger Mosley, Eric Neurath, Randy and Sallie Radock, Jodi Riverstone, Nathan Shields, Lance and Haley Snider, Eileen Webb, and Kevin Willson.
Artists open new exhibit in Port Townsend

“Working in a Series,” now open until March 3 in the Peninsula Fiber Artists’ walk-by Fiber Habit exhibit space at 675 Tyler St., demonstrates how Sequim, Port Angeles, Port Townsend and Port Ludlow artists each used a specific technique to explore a given theme or style in detail with multiple pieces.
Exhibitors include Sequim’s Kathie Cook (“Portals,” art quilts) and Eva Kozun (“Eagles with Attitude,” sculptures) and Port Angeles’ Barbara Houshmand (“Women of Substance,” three-dimensional art quilts).
Port Ludlow artists include Jeri Auty (“Circles, Curves and Lines,” quilts) and Terri Wolf (“Nursing and Caring,” art quilts).
