Poets present at Writers Read event

Published authors Ruth Marcus and Judy Duncan, both of Sequim, as well as Linda Myers of Port Angeles, will read their original poetry at a free event from 2-3 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11, at Blue Whole Gallery, 129 W. Washington St.

Each of the three poets responded to a month of prompts from Two Sylvias Press, a book publisher in Kingston. (“Prompts” are ideas for poems that the writers might not have come up with on their own.)

They will read selections that feature the wide variety of thoughts that a good prompt can create.
