Ballroom dance classes start, Tai Chi classes set, and more.

Ballroom dance   classes start

The final ballroom dance offerings of the North Olympic Dance Consortium will begin on Tuesday, April 5, and end on April 26.

Darlene and Michael Clemens will be teaching a beginner’s class of West Coast Swing from 7-8 p.m. A practice session will follow for all levels from beginners to advanced. The lessons will be held at the Sons of Norway (Scandia) Hall at 151 Fifth St. in Port Angeles.

Tai Chi classes set

Tai Chi classes start April 4 at the Dungeness Schoolhouse, 2781 Towne Road, Sequim. Contact Michelle Biery at 681-2360 for registration information. Class costs depends on how many participants sign up for.

Beginning and intermediate classes run from 3:30-5:30 p.m. and advanced classes run from 5:30-7 p.m.

Tai Chi is an ancient form of Chinese exercise and self-defense designed to improve physical health using martial arts movements performed very slowly.

‘Minions’ at library

On April 2, the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave., will show the 2015 animated film “Minions.” This PG-rated film is part of the popular Family Flicks movie series offered at 2 p.m. the first Saturday of every month.

Family Flicks provides free family entertainment, popcorn and fun movie trivia.

Call to Artists open show

The Sequim Museum Exhibit Center, 175 W. Cedar St., Sequim, announces a

call for artists for works with the theme of “Sequim Irrigation Festival.”

These medias will be accepted: watercolor, oil, acrylic, pencil, pen, ink, pastels and photography.

Artists may enter up to two pieces and the entry fee is $10 for members and $15 for non-members.

Entry forms are available at the Exhibit Center from 11 a.m.-3 p.m Tuesday-Saturday. Art will be accepted at the Exhibit Center from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday April 30.
