Albiso featured author, Bank hosts Larimore art, church recognizes Patriot Day and more.

Albiso is featured author

North Coast Writers first reading for the winter season will feature Sally Albiso, award-winning poet, reading from her new chapbook “The Notion of Wings,” published by Finishing Line Press of Georgetown, Ky. She will present her work at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, at the Port Angeles Public Library, 2210 S. Peabody St.

Bank hosts Larimore works

An exhibit of 40 paintings and photographs by local artist Judy Larimore will be on exhibit through November at Bank of America in Sequim.

Her work is in private collections such as Hewlett Packard and the Indonesian Embassy in Washington, D.C. She won four Kodak newspaper awards and has been published in three books.

Patriot Day marked

Sequim Community Church, 950 N. Fifth Ave., plans a recognition of Patriot Day, from 6-9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, with a concert, videos and worship. The public is welcome.

Maria Muldaur comes to P.A.’s Studio Bob

The Juan De Fuca Foundation presents Maria Muldaur and her Red Hot Bluesiana Band at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday-Wednesday, Sept. 15-16, at Studio Bob, 118½ Front St., Port Angeles.

The concerts are part of a new “Living Room Series” of more intimate events at Studio Bob. Tickets are $25, youth 14 and under are $10. Ticket outlets are at jffa.org, Port Book and News (Port Angeles) and Joyful Noise Music (Sequim). Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and beer/wine will be available.

Muldaur will perform her signature song “Midnight at the Oasis.” and she’ll be peppering her show with priceless anecdotes about her longtime friendships with Bob Dylan, Taj Mahal, John Sebastian, Bonnie Raitt, Janis Joplin and more.
