• The Juan De Fuca Foundation presents H’Sao, a Montreal band originally from Chad, at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, in the Peninsula College Little Theatre. (See photo, story, at right.)

• First Step Family Support Center, a United Way agency, announces that Snowgrass 2015 will be at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, at the Port Angeles High School Auditorium. Tickets are $12 in advance, $14 at the door, $9 for seniors, and free for youth 10 and under. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in Port Angeles at First Step Family Support Center, KONP, Strait Music, Odyssey Books and Port Book & News. In Sequim tickets are available at Clallam Co-op Farm and Garden. Tickets also can be purchased at the door the night of the event.
