City of Sequim celebrates permanent art

The City of Sequim and the City Arts Advisory Commission celebrated more than 20 works of art that were permanently installed throughout the Sequim Civic Center on March 2.

The pieces the Commission chose were from local artists that tie into the history of Sequim and themes incorporated into the Civic Center plaza design, such as friendly community, bountiful prairie, innovative strong people, magnificent mountains, natural beauty, quiet waters and sunshine. All of the pieces displayed in the Civic Center are in public areas so anyone can come through and look at the art.

The Civic Center and Community Plaza artists include: Lynne Armstrong, Bridget Baker, Jinx Bryant, Sally Cays, Linda Collins Chapman, Gina Cox, Laura Douris, Ken Dvorak, Marilyn Evans, Mary Franchini, Ross Hamilton, Virginia Jefferson, Judy Larimore, Cindy Mangutz, R. Evan Miller, Ron E. Reynolds, Bob Rigg, Ryoko Toyama, Charlotte Watts and the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe.
