The Sequim Arts Commission invites artists to submit work for the upcoming juried exhibition “Over The Rainbow,” to be displayed in the Karen Kuznek-Reese Gallery at the Sequim Civic Center, 152 W. Cedar St., from June 6 through Aug. 18.
“Over The Rainbow” invites artists to explore the symbolism, wonder and emotion connected to this timeless motif. From vibrant expressions of hope and inclusivity to surreal landscapes of fantasy and longing, the exhibition will celebrate the many interpretations of what it means to reach beyond, to aspire, and to dream.
Whether inspired by color, mythology, personal journeys, or the search for something just out of reach, artworks that capture the magic and meaning of life through the “over the rainbow” concept are welcome.
To enter, artists should complete the online form at https://form.jotform.com/250826527437159. The form allows artists to download up to three images (preferably 300 dpi) per entry. The deadline for submissions is Monday, April 21.
All entries will be juried by the Sequim Arts Commission by April 28. Artists will be notified of their status in early May. Only digital applications will be considered.
For complete entry guidelines and exhibit information, visit the city’s website at sequimwa.gov/694/Artist-Opportunities or contact Arts Coordinator Sarah Hurt at shurt@sequimwa.gov or 360-582-2477.
