Clallam Mosaic presents ‘Late For Tea’ Clallam Mosaic’s Snappy Players Troupe will be performing their production of “Late for Tea” at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at Olympic Theatre Arts, 414 N. Sequim Ave.

The play is an original production featuring participants, volunteers and staff from Clallam Mosaic’s Theater class and the artistic products of the Set Design class.

While this is the fourth installment of the troupe’s time-traveling radio variety show, this is a stand-alone feature.

The event is not only a fundraiser for Clallam Mosaic (admission by donation at the door) but also for Olympic Theater Arts.

OTA has generously allowed Clallam Mosaic to utilize its facilities over the past few years at no cost and is providing full support (stage management, lights, etc.) to this production at no charge.

OTA will be hosting a wine/spirit bar prior to the show and during intermission to raise funds to support future endeavors such as this production.

“Late for Tea” is the story of Dirk McGrier (private investigator) and Bella LaBalle (singer, dance performer and Dirk’s love interest) as they travel through time to experience yet another period in American history.

Dirk and Bella became time travelers through a vortex in the KSNAP radio station sound booth and they have visited various points in history over the past three years of productions.

This year, as the story continues, Dirk and Bella are spun into Boston Harbor just as a momentous historical event is about to unfold.

The original story being presented was created through research and storytelling by individuals with developmental disabilities in conjunction with dedicated volunteers and Clallam Mosaic staff.

The Snappy Players Troupe has worked hard to choose historical characters, develop the arc of the story and create the various scenes and backdrops of the story.

Directed by Bonne Smith with assistance from stage manager Donna Morris, the two-act play showcases the theatrical abilities of the participants and serves as a focal point to bring the community together, so, please come out and support the hard work of the troupe.
