The men and women who join Rotary make things happen, good things. The club motto is "Service Above Self" and as individuals and through their club, they serve.
Sequim is fortunate to have two Rotary clubs.
One, Rotary Club of
Sequim Sunrise, meets early Friday mornings (before sunrise, this time of year) and the other, Rotary Club of Sequim, meets at noon on Thursdays.
Each club has its own character. The morning club is high energy, with many members who still are active in careers. The noon club is quieter, with more retired members. It is the original club in Sequim; when it grew too large, the morning club was formed.
The word "project" brings a gleam to a Rotarian’s eyes. Whether it’s painting a house or building a wheelchair ramp, coordinating projects for the Irrigation Festival, arranging student exchanges to other countries, raising money to help refugees or eradicating a disease, members contribute both their time and their money.
Meetings include a meal, some fun, some business and opportunities to meet like-minded people.
