Gospel concert set
Ernie Couch & Revival, gospel musicians based in Nashville, will present a concert at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave. Admission to the concert is free. An offering will be taken to benefit the performers.
A blend of gospel and Christian music in traditional, country and contemporary styles is offered by three generations of the Couch family: Ernie, his son Jason and Jason’s teenage son, Memphis. They characterize it as “Americana gospel.”
Ernie and Jason started the group in 1993 with Ernie on the keyboard and Jason singing baritone. They have performed in 49 states. Others have joined them at times over the years. Singers such as George Jones and Patti Page have contributed songs to the group’s CDs.
