Go retro with OTA’s annual Renaissance Faire

Back and bigger than ever, Olympic Theatre Arts is gearing up to take the community back in time with its annual Renaissance Faire, slated for 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 13-14.

The entire grounds at OTA’s campus at 414 N. Sequim Ave. are being transformed, with the OTA Main Stage featuring “Tour of Shakespeare,” a show highlighting how Shakespeare’s writing style changed over his career.

The Gathering Hall will host Midsummer Night’s Dream’s Mechanicals, as they perform the hysterical Pyramus and Thisbe.

Outside, a dozen vendors and food vendors will populate the grounds along with renaissance games, roving musicians and actors, fortune-tellers, caricature artists, puppet shows and combat class.

Guests are invited to dress up and role play along with the Queen as they turn back time.
