Stemming from inspiration 10 years ago, the Peninsula Men’s Gospel Singers brings its 13th annual spring show “Let This Be Our Prayer” to Port Angeles on Saturday.

The group is joined by Americana worship band David and the Psalms, Little Brass Band and the Crab Fest Revival Choir combining Clallam  County high school, college and adult singers

The show begins at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, in the PA High School Auditorium, 304 E Park Ave.

The Singers’ founding director Michael Rivers says the inspiration for the show started 10 years ago when after hearing Amanda Bacon and the singers’ tenor Dan Cobb sing “The Prayer” by Carol Bayer Sager and David Foster. Their rendition was later recorded on the Singer’s CD “Grace.”

Rivers said he fell in love with the tune and decided to include it in this year’s programming with choral arrangement by Mark Hayes.

The Singers perform favorites like “Glory, Glory, Hallelujah” and a sing along portion along with eight new numbers including the haunting “Prayer of the Children.”

Karen Coles signs for the hearing impaired and Penny Hall accompanies the group on piano.

Reserved tickets for adults cost $15/$10 and $8 for students. Call 452-1531 or see www.pmgospelsingers.com for more information.
