Sequim goes all-in for another Halloween and harvest season with several events this weekend and on Thursday, Oct. 31.
As tradition, several businesses, churches and groups offer places to play games and get treats while sporting fun costumes. So whether your family wants to carve pumpkins, play in a bounce house or all of the above, here is what’s happening as of press time. “Night of the Living Dead” finds its end at OTA
Olympic Theatre Arts’ production of “Night of the Living Dead” concludes this weekend with shows at 7 p.m. Friday-Saturday, Oct. 25-26, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27 at OTA, 414 N. Sequim Ave. Tickets available at olympictheatrearts.org or by calling 360-683-7326 from 1-4 p.m. Wednesday-Friday.

Community church hosts harvest fest
Sequim Community Church, 950 N. Fifth Ave., offers its Fall Family Festival from 5:30-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25 with a trunk-or-treat in the parking lot, and a bounce house, carnival games, a chili cook-off and food inside.
Saturday, Oct. 26
Hallways haunted at high school
Students host the Haunted Hallways event from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 in the H-Building at Sequim High School, 601 N. Sequim Ave. Activities are run by the SHS leadership class, and clubs and groups. Admission is a can of food for Sequim Food Bank’s “Boo Hunger” drive. Costumes welcome.
Rat Racers rev up trunk-or-treat
Olympic Peninsula Rat Racers host its Trunk-or-Treat from 2-5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Sequim Village Shopping Center, 651 W. Washington St. Free candy will be given out by each vehicle’s owner. Drivers welcome to bring rat rods, 4x4s, motorcycles and other vehicles during event to participate, organizers said.
Boys & Girls Club brings Halloween Bash
The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Olympic Peninsula in Sequim at 400 W. Fir St. opens from 5-8 p.m.. Saturday, Oct. 26, for its annual Halloween Bash with games, candy, music, costume contest, arts and crafts, a cupcake walk, and a haunted house that may not be suitable for younger children.
Admission is $5 for children 3-17, while adults and children 2 and under are free. Pizza meal included for children 18-and-under; $3 for adults.
Pumpkin carving, trunk-or-treat at Grange
Sequim Prairie Grange, 290 Macleay Road, hosts its Fall Festival and Trunk-or-Treat from 3-6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26. Outdoors, there will be free pumpkin carving and several trunks filled with treats while inside there will be carnival games with a chance to win prizes. Tickets cost $0.50. Chili dogs and hamburgers also for sale. Costumes encouraged.
Casino continues costume contest
7 Cedars Casino, 270756 U.S. Highway 101, hosts its annual Halloween party Saturday, Oct. 26, inside Club Seven. All costume contest contestants must enter the Blyn Bay conference room, located in the hotel, between 7:30-9:30 p.m. for preliminary costume judging. Contest begins at 10 p.m.
There are individual/couple prizes and group costume prizes for three or more people. Music provided by The Nasty Habits with a free shuttle available. Ages 21-and-over. No cover charge.

Avamere throws trunk-or-treat
Avamere Olympic Rehabilitation of Sequim, 1000 S. Fifth Ave., hosts a Trunk-or-Treat event from 1-3 p.m. on Halloween in the facility’s parking lot with patients and staff giving out candy and offering games.
Elks welcome drive thru trick-or-treaters
The Sequim Elks Lodge, 143 Port Williams Road, hosts a drive thru trick-or-treat” from 3-5 pm. Thursday, Oct. 31 Elks members will be handing out bags of candy to all the little ones.
Downtown trick-or-treat tradition
Sequim merchants offer trick-or-treating from 3-5 p.m. Oct. 31 along Washington Street from Creamery Square to Fifth Avenue with dozens of businesses offering candy stops. Sequim-Dungeness Chamber of Commerce ambassadors and volunteers will serve as crossing guards.
Thrive throws Trunk-or-Treat
Thrive Church, 640 N. Sequim Ave., offers a Trunk-or-Treat in its parking lot with a free hot dog dinner and treats from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31.
Foursquare church hosts Harvest Fest
Sequim Valley Foursquare, 9090 Old Olympic Hwy., holds its Harvest Festival from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Oct. 31. with an inflatable slide, Nerf tag, a cake walk, food, face painting, and a trunk-or-treat. Organizers ask child-friendly costumes only.
Fifth Avenue hosts bat cave
The Fifth Avenue, 500 West Hendrickson Road, hosts a Trick-or-Treat event from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Halloween with a haunted bat cave, treats, and a chance to win a raffle basket.
Faith Lutheran hosts harvest fest
Faith Lutheran Church, 354 W. Cedar St., hosts its harvest festival from 5-6:30 p.m. on Halloween, Oct. 31. The family-friendly event offers candy, activities, games, and more with trick-or-treaters welcome.
Trunk-or-treat at Gateway Church
Gateway Church of Sequim, 609 W. Washington St., offers a trunk-or-treat from 5-7:30 p.m. on Halloween night. All ages welcome.
King’s Way brings on the ‘Bash’
King’s Way Sequim, 1023 Kitchen-Dick Road, hosts its annual “Bash” from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, with outdoor family fun games, snacks, and candy. Kid-friendly costumes only.
Sherwood offers trick-or-treating
Sherwood Assisted Living, 550 W. Hendrickson Road, invites trick-or-treaters from 6-7 p.m. Oct. 31 to haunt their halls for free candy from residents.
Organizers say the annual event has become a heartwarming tradition with residents eagerly anticipating the chance to see the children’s creative costumes, and for many the event brings back fond memories of their own family traditions.
Eastern Hills hosts trunk-or-treaters
Eastern Hills Community Church, 91 Savannah Lane, brings back its annual Trunk-or-Treat from 6-8 p.m. on, Oct. 31, outside the church with hay rides, candy, hot dogs, and more.

Ghostlight opens “Sweeney Todd”
Ghostlight Productions brings “Sweeney Todd – The Demon Barber of Fleet Street” to the Sequim High School Auditorium, 633 N. Sequim Ave., on Halloween night at 7 p.m. Shows run at 7 p.m. Friday-Saturday, Nov. 1-2; 7 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, Nov. 7-9, with matinees at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, and Saturday, Nov. 9.
