Haller students trot home in style

After helping Helen Haller Elementary exceed the second annual Turkey Trot’s $20,000 goal, some hard working students got to ride in style home from school last week.

Savannah Francis, 10, rode in a limousine from 7 Cedars Casino with friends after raising $1,150 to run laps on Nov. 22. She and her brother Austin went to nearly 30 local businesses seeking support.

Brother and sister Sebastian, 7, and Isabella, 5, Greimes got to ride in a firetruck with Clallam County Fire District 3 after Sebastian raised $800.

All funds raised from the Turkey Trot purchased robots for a robotics class and six books for every student prior to summer that they’ll pick out in June.

Fire District 3 donated the fire truck ride for the winner of the Turkey Trot for grades K-2, and 7 Cedars Casino donated the limo for grades 3-5.
