OTA is gearing up for opening night of the classic Pulitzer Prize winning comedy-drama “Harvey.” It is a charming story about a man and his imaginary friend — a 6-foot 6-inch rabbit.

“OTA is excited to introduce many new faces to the theater in this production,” said board member Elaine Caldwell, “particularly Kathie Virgil as stage manager who came here from San Diego less than a year ago and agreed to fill one of our most difficult positions. She’s amazing.” Others that are new to OTA’s stage are actors Angela Poynter-Lemaster, Cheryl Di Pietro, Jane Millet and Joe Schulz. “We are always thrilled to expand our volunteer base because theater is fun and we want to share it with everyone,” Caldwell added.

“Harvey” opens on Nov. 7 with champagne reception following the performance. It will run for three consecutive weeks with performances on Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. The $10 preview (free for OTA members) is Nov. 6 and Pay What You Will is Nov. 13.

All performances are at Olympic Theatre Arts Center, 414 N. Sequim Ave. in Sequim. For more information or to buy tickets, contact the box office at 683-7326, which is open from 1-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
